UFK1 Io-link

Remote Teach-in or IO-Link 

In standard sensors, the pushbutton for adjustment presents a critical weak point for leak tightness.

With IO-Link, sensitivity adjustment and remote Teach-in can be carried out remotely, providing superior durability by eliminating the need for any buttons.

By remote teach-in it is possible to set the working distance and output status.

By IO-LINK is possible to set and monitor all the product characteristics and collect application data for analysis and preventive maintenance.

Full-lenght AISI316L housing

Oils and hydrocarbons can potentially destroy plastic seals and transducers, making the sensor useless if chemicals penetrate and damage internal electronics.

Full-length AISI316L stainless steel housing protects the sensor from chemicals, liquids or vapors.

Moreover, thanks to the metal plug, UFK is more resistant than standard UK sensors to mechanical stresses due to installation and machinery vibrations.

Standard sensors can be damaged by high-pressure or steam washdowns.

The full-length IP69K AISI316L housing also protects the unit during exposure to these tough cleaning procedures.

UFK is designed for Clean-In-Place applications: it is not necessary to protect the sensor before starting the cleaning process.

ECOLAB approvals

Cleaning agents and disinfectants (acid, alkalis, foams, peroxides) can damage the seals on the sensor.

The sensor is tested with the use of several ECOLAB cleaning agents:

• P3-topactive OKTO,

• P3-topax 66,

• P3-topax 990,

• Topactive 200,

• Topaz AC3,

• Topaz MD5

Avoid unhygienic deposit

Smooth stainless steel sensing face prevents unhygienic deposits.

This makes also difficult for drops and condensation to contaminate the sensing face.

Wide range of choices

UFK series is available in 12 different models to match all possible customers’ requirements.

• Two different sensing distance: 50…400 mm for UFK1A and 100…1000 mm for UKF1B.

• Sensitivity adjustment by IO-LINK or Teach-in input

• Single output: PNP, Voltage 0…10 V or Current 4…20 mA

• Mixed output: IO-LINK + PNP, IO-LINK+0…10 V and IO-LINK+4…20 mA

Available accessories

All models use a standard M12 – Type A connector.

In case of IP69K applications, CD12F series M12 connectors are available.

For sensor installation, it is possible to use the AISI316L stainless steel brackets: ST 18-A7W (flat) and ST 18-C7W (right angle).
